It’s another great addition to the city of Detroit. In fact, this one is epic. Jack White has partnered with Shinola founder Tom Kartsotis to buy the building that houses the Shinola flagship store on West Canfield. White’s Third Man Records will open a retail store there. Here’s what the press release said: “The deal marks new expansion for both Shinola as well as Jack White’s record label Third Man Records. For Third Man, this is a homecoming of sorts, since the label was originally founded in Detroit in 2001. This expansion signals the opening of their first retail store outside of Nashville, TN. The new retail space is set to be in operation by Black Friday (November 27th, 2015), with many special surprises in store.”

It will definitely be a big draw for holiday shoppers! Plus, there are plans for Shinola to expand into making and selling turntables, speakers and headphones. It sounds like a music-lovers paradise!
