American Idol will be history after next season. The iconic show that has made its share of superstars will continue with its current group of judges for one last season. With it’s ratings on the decline, there aren’t a lot of people surprised, still it’s definitely big news.

The Idol cancellation is certainly getting more buzz than the dozens of other shows getting the plug pulled. Still many are disappointed about the cancellations of programs like The Mindy Project and The Following. Some shows, though, may be getting a new home on Hulu or similar platforms.
