Renee Vitale has spent nearly her entire radio career on Detroit airwaves. A Southeast Detroit native, she built her reputation through a mix of warmth, authenticity, and a genuine connection with the community, helping listeners navigate their days while keeping them informed and entertained. Whether she’s sharing traffic updates or engaging with listeners, Renee brings the kind of approachable personality that feels like catching up with a longtime friend.
Away from the microphone, Renee enjoys embracing everything Michigan has to offer. She loves reading, cooking, discovering new restaurants, gardening, and spending time boating on Lake St. Clair with her husband, David. She also devoted 15 years to helping the next generation of broadcasters at the Specs Howard School of Media Arts, serving in several roles, including director of admissions. That passion for people, storytelling, and connection continues to shine through every time she’s on the air.
