How your cat communicates

Krypton the catCats definitely have a reputation for being aloof. Many of our feline friends certainly are. Most cat owners know; however, that they can have a very unique personality and can be quite interactive with their pet parents. Of course, it’s all in their own time, the phrase “like herding cats” exists for a reason. How do cats communicate? According to Yahoo Health, Sharon Crowell-Davis, a professor of veterinary behavior at the University of Georgia, recently gave a presentation on the subject at a conference for cat behaviorists and gave us some ideas.

She talked about some misconceptions we may have about our kitties. For instance, purring may not mean your can is content. It’s more like a plea to not go anywhere. Also, when you get home, does your can rub against you and maybe wrap his tail around your calves? That means he is happy to see you.

The article also says the cats have facial expressions if you look for them, for instance, a slow blink may mean they are very comfortable with you. And how about this for personal? -cats can also develop a special way to communicate with their owners. Check out more on cat communication  HERE
